Hi. WordPress.COM does not allow that HTML code, From http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/ :
HTML Tags
WordPress.com allows the following HTML code in your posts, pages, and widgets:
address, a, abbr, acronym, area, b, big, blockquote, br, caption, cite, class, code, col, del, dd, div, dl, dt, em, font, h1, h2, h3, h4, h5, h6, hr, i, img, ins, kbd, li, map, ol, p, pre, q, s, span, strike, strong, sub, sup, table, tbody, td, tfoot, tr, tt, ul, varCheck out W3 Schools for more information about what each of these HTML codes are used for.
If you are familiar with HTML, you’ll notice that codes such as
embed, frame, iframe, form, input, object, textareaand others are missing from the above list. Those codes are not allowed on WordPress.com for security reasons. Also, your own plugins are only allowed on WordPress.ORG, not .COM.
Tell us what you are trying to do exactly so that we can offer alternatives, if any.

Oh ok thanks. I’m really new to HTML, don’t know a lot about it. I’m trying to make a submit form to submit pictures. I want them to include their name, if they’re a male or female, and then a thing to upload your photo. It looks like this:
-
-
We cannot use forms on wordpress.COM. The only option for you is to use the contact form that is supplied here and the above the form include instructions on what they are to include.
-
-
It will not work on WordPress.com. If you want a place where people will fill out forms and upload pictures, you want a custom website which will cost you in the vicinity of $100 a month or more, and it cannot be hosted on WordPress.com unless you’re in the VIP program, getting a half million or so hits a month and paying $600 per month.
-
Also: please do not bump your threads. Volunteers know how to find existing threads and when we have answers, we give them. Bumping your threads makes you look amateurish and impatient.
-
Bumping also distorts the fabric of space and time and often slows down answers to your questions by irritating the volunteers that would otherwise be inclined to help you.
-
Sorry about that, new to the website. Thanks for the answers. Weird that this website does not allow that form of HTML.
-
You would have to ask staff why it is not allowed, but my understanding has always been it is a security issue.
-
WordPress.COM keeps tight control over the type of code allowed for both security and reliability reasons.
The Theme’s here have also been modified to add more functionality than a standard theme, that is why there are so many Widgets on the Themes here in place of Plug-in’s.
-
Which makes all the current editing issues and bugs all the more frustrating. The tight regs on what can and cannot be allowed and the way my sites looked and were presented is the precise reason I moved in at WordPress.com. I also did not want the Google Will Decide the ads for you stuff, or any ads for that matter. If I’m going to be a billboard, I’ll decide the ads and I want paid.
I have never dealt with a better, faster, more responsive Customer Service Support Team — online on in any business I’ve conducted or worked in — as we have here at WP. I just want all the stinking little monsters to crawl back into their respective holes and blow themselves clean to Kingdom Come!!
