html tag <input> limitation

While attempting to edit my blog, I am unable to insert html such as:
<input type=”hidden” name=”meta_forward_vars” value=”0″>Basically, what I want to do is allow Users to enter their email address
Can anyone shed light on this?

By the way, your username is not linked to your blog. Do you have a wordpress.com blog? If not, the answer I gave will not apply.
If you are self-hosted and using the software downloaded from wordpress.org, then you need to inquire over at http://wordpress.org/support/ . WordPress.com use a multi-user version of the software and few, if any, of the volunteers here are familiar with the wordpress.org software.
