HTML Tag Support – thead and th – When were these disabled?

  I have content on my wordpress.com blog that previously used the ‘thead’ and ‘th’ HTML tags. However, now when I make a new post I am unable to use these tags. When was support for these widely used tags disabled and why?

  We’ve changed some things recently. This only happens when you create a new post or edit an existing one. Anything not documented as supported here isn’t working: http://en.support.wordpress.com/code/

  These should be re-enabled now. Sorry about that lapse.
