Not actually necessary there is another way, In google webmaster you can see the two tabs – “Recommended method” and “Alternative method”
HTML verification comes in – Recommended method, so leave that and click on Alternative methods – there you can find – “HTML tag”.
Copy the code and paste it in your WordPress website by following these steps:1) Go to website Dashboard.
2) Go to Tools > Scroll down to bottom > you can see there “Google Webmaster”.
3) Paste the code in the given area of Google Webmaster Tool. Here is the helpful link: https://en.support.wordpress.com/webmaster-tools/

Thank you so very much, Blogguru58.
Brotskytv, each time I go to support, the answers to my questions never pop up in the search window. They need to improve on that tremendously. The answers that came up were not even remotely close.
Thanks again for all your help. Much appreciated.

Sorry to bother you again, but I have a problem.
Apparently, when I logged into HostGator, my webhost, I had the option of doing Quick Install for WordPress.
Each time I log into WordPress.com, I see an icon at that top that says “My Site.” It’s also giving me the option of adding another WordPress Account.
I have worked so hard on creating that site and fell in love with the theme. I really don’t want to have to create a new site, but the problem with that site is that I don’t have a Home Page. The most recent post shows up.
I wanted to show case links to categories at the top of the page, where people can click on it. The way it’s setup, currently, the categories are at the bottom.
Based on your instructions, my site does not even have a Dashboard. In the “Editing Mode,” this is all I see starting from top to bottom on the left side:
“My Site” to the right of that, “Reader”
Underneath it you have:Add New WordPress
Health & Wellness (my website)Stats
Plan
Publish
Blog Posts
Pages
Personalize
Themes
Menus
Configure
Sharing
People
Plugins
SettingsI don’t see any of the stuff that I need based on the instructions above.
The only thing at the bottom I see that would correlate with my question is:
Meta
Login
Entries RSS
Comments RSSI tried logging in from there, but it keeps telling me that my UID and PW are incorrect.
I have a feeling that my website is setup on something that is not a full version of WordPress.
The question is how do I integrate the website that I already have into the full version of WordPress that looks entirely different from what I have on my website. I don’t even have a Home Page, which I want. The site is limiting. I need to integrate it into the full version of WordPress. Any ideas how to do that?
Thanks,
Anne
