HTML Widget not accepting any kind of HTML

Hello,
I am trying to add a ko-fi button to the footer at jupe.ca and it won’t accept any code I put in. I have tried all the following code and it says there are errors every time.

The only thing I can seem to add in the html widget is plain text.
Please advise, and thanks in advance.

Hi there! Could you provide a link to the site hosted on WordPress.com you’re having trouble with, so I can have a look at your widgets in the back end?
Script tags definitely won’t work here, as we don’t allow JavaScript for security reasons, but I’m not sure why the two links wouldn’t work, so I’d like to take a look directly.
