HTML workarounds
-
The WP tips post Background and tables in Dark Wood says that HTML workarounds may soon be blocked.
Are HTML fixes (like use of tables in posts to position images) really going to be blocked?
Please tell me I’m reading too much into this!

It is likely that some HTML workarounds will be blocked. We don’t know which workarounds will be affected, or how, or when. For more details and speculation, see:

Thanks, @andrew, that’s interesting background in those links you provided.
I do think it’s reasonable to allow inline css for posts when the css upgrade is purchased (and I don’t mind paying for that), but the restrictions and automatic modifications that occur with HTML in individual posts do bother me.
