HTTP 500 error after plugin install
-
Hi. I’m an admin for http://www.mixotroph.org. It’s hosted on wordpress.com using a custom domain. I’ve installed the Smart Slider 3 plugin. On activation I got a white screen (using Firefox). Now when I try to log in via wp-login I get either a white screen in Firefox or a HTTP 500 Error in IE. Can you please help me deactivate the plugin and recover the site?

Hi there,
Your site mixotroph.org is not hosted by WordPress.com. It is using the self-hosted version of WordPress and it is hosted by Easyspace. Therefore, you need to contact them regarding your issue.
We’re only able to provide support for WordPress websites that are hosted by us. For help with a self-hosted WordPress site you can also ask over at the WordPress.org forums:

Thanks for clarifying that for me.
It seems I must have been given duff information somewhere down the line.
I’ll contact the host. -
