Hi I am completely new to this. I have just started to set up a blog. I had a name then after setting it up changed my mind. I managed to change my user name and email address to the new name but I am not sure if the http address has or can be changed to the new name. If I start all over again can I use the new name or will it still show as ‘taken’? Thanks

The http address or the blog address can be changed to the new name. When you changed your username, you were given the option to (1) match your new username and discard the old address, (2) match your new username and create an empty blog with the old address.
If I start all over again can I use the new name or will it still show as ‘taken’?
To clarify, are your referring to “name” as “username”? If you start all over again, meaning creating a new WordPress.com with another email address and username and then you try to change your username to the first username you created for your first account, then it will show as taken.
Note that every WordPress.com account has 1 username and 1 email address associated with it.
Also if you change your username, you will not be able to change your username back.
