HTTP error

I have uploaded plenty of pictures to my site and for some reason today it keeps popping up with a HTTP error every time I try to add new media. I have not exceeded my storage limit for my plan with WordPress and I have not changed any settings or downloaded anything new. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I’d like to rule out a browser-related issue. Can you try uploading from a different browser?

If you’re still unable to upload, do you see an error number, or a specific error message?

What’s the image’s file size? If it’s too large, that can cause such issues.

I just tried using another browser and same issue.

There is no number or anything. The only message is a white banner with a thin red line in front that goes under “Upload New Media”. On the banner it reads “HTTP error”

And as far as the sizes go, I have tried images from 5 MB down to 140 KB and still no luck.

  • Hi @amberflo2510 , I hope you don’t mind me jumping in to help. Usually when I’ve seen this, it’s an issue with the internet connection, and it clears up on its own (or when the connection issue is resolved anyway.)

Are you still having trouble, though? If you are we can try a few more things to troubleshoot.
