HTTP ERROR 500
-
I made a subtle edit in my functions.php file on accident and now I don’t have access to the admin site and the homepage has a HTTP ERROR 500. I also don’t have access to the site’s files on the server (not sure who is hosting).
Is there any other way to fix this problem?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Also, please note this is not for the site: meggraphicdesign.wordpress.com
It’s another site I did edits for, for work.

Hello,
if your change in the functions.php caused the 500 error on your website, the only way to revert it to the previous version or undo the change you made is through your hosting File Manager panel or through the FTP(File Transfer Protocol).
I hope this helps.

Thanks! Can fix the site if I just go back into the funtions.php file and change the edit I made back to how it was originally?

Hello,
that is correct, you can fix the site if you go back into the functions.php file and change the edit, but since the website is showing 500 errror, you will need to do that via your hosting File Manager panel or the FTP ( File transfer protocol )
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File_Transfer_ProtocolI hope this helps
