HTTP ERROR 500

  Hi all – I’m in the process of building a food blog and actually looking to launch it next week. I tired logging into my wordpress.org account today to make a few edits and a webpage with the following message loads instead of my website ‘This page isn’t working. (website name) is currently unable to handle this request. HTTP ERROR 500.

  I haven’t changed my theme, installed any new plugins, done any updates, etc.

  PLEASE HELP!!!!!

  Hi,

  Based on your thread, it seems you use the self-hosted version of WordPress rather than WordPress.com, which is what this forum is designed to help with. Note the difference here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  I can confirm this if you give your site URL though.

  You may be able to find help here: https://wordpress.org/support/

  Hi Torres126 – I am currently using wordpress.og.

  As of right now I can’t log into my wordpress.org account at all and am unable to post on the support forum there. That’s why I turned to this forum.

  I have search some previous HTTP ERROR 500 forums, but they haven’t been super helpful.

  Is there any support you are able to offer?

  Sadly not, although I’ve tried my best to link you to places where you can get support, this forum can only help with issues related to WordPress.com, which isn’t what your site is hosted with. Sorry!

  Update: A plugin needed updating and my server was able to make the fix.
