Hi,
See any one of the following topics:
- 500 Internal Server Error
- Internal server error 500
- Website cannot be accessed HTTP 500 error
In each case the error occurred with regard to a self-hosted site. Are you referring to a WordPress.com site, or a self-hosted WordPress.org site?
The French-language support forums are here: https://fr.forums.wordpress.com/.

hi there,
i’m having issues accessing my wp-admin dashboard page. i’m getting error below:
HTTP ERROR 500
my site is projectdomestikate.com
please help.
thank you!

At the moment it looks like your site (projectdomestikate.com) may not be hosted on WordPress.com based on your domain being managed by CloudFlare:
https://who.is/dns/projectdomestikate.com
This forum’s support is only intended for customers of WordPress.com so we wouldn’t be able to help further and you’ll want to contact your hosting provider that manages projectdomestikate.com for you.
That being said, if you’re still seeing this error when accessing the /wp-admin (I wasn’t able to replicate), a 500 error like that will usually be tied to a PHP Fatal Error. So if you have access to your error logs at your host, I would start there and see if a plugin or part of your theme is triggering that error. Another common cause of a 500 error occurring only on your wp-admin would be a syntax error in your .htaccess
Either way, please contact your host or post this question in https://wordpress.ORG ‘s support forums instead with this issue and if you’re hosted with WordPress.com, please create a new topic and do not reply back to this customers forum topic.
We appreciate it.

Good evening,
I am having issues accessing my wp-admin dashboard page. I am getting error below:
HTTP ERROR 500
my site is rpnewmanlaw.com. I also cannot access the site.
I was switching themes and activating plugins and then everything went dead.
I desperately seek any and all assistance with this matter.
Thank you.
-
rpnewmanlaw.com is hosted with some other host and not WordPress.com.
Please see the details provided by @richardjohnhunt and @musicdoc1 above.

Yes the domain is “hosted” by someone else, GoDaddy to be specific, but the site was certainly created on and with WordPress. I can no longer my WordPress admin page for this site. I was able to do it before activiating a plugin for a new theme.
Would love to rollback the theme but I cannot get into my admin section.
Please advise based upon this information or provide a more clear and specific resolution to my matter. The response above does not help me me.
Thank you.

When your site is not hosted with WordPress.com, you are using self-hosted WordPress from https://wordpress.org
This support channel handles assistance to WordPress.com hosted sites and the guidance provided here won’t be relevant to WordPress.org sites hosted with an external hosting provider.
You can get some help in the support forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/ or contact the support team of your hosting provider to seek help solving your problem.
Check with your hosting service provider if they can roll back your site to an earlier version (in case they have a backup of your site).
