http error uploading

I continually get HTTP upload errors when trying to upload video to my blog
donshrumm.org which is a wordpress blog.
videos are sometimes 300 MB but max upload is supposedly 1G (or 10MB) somewhere else posted, which is useless for video

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

    Hiya Don!

I continually get HTTP upload errors when trying to upload video to my blog donshrumm.org which is a wordpress blog.

Just to confirm — do you mean donshrumm.COM? I am not seeing donshrumm.org listed as a WordPress.com site. Let me know!

If you are indeed referring to donshrumm.com, I see that you have the Premium upgrade, which includes VideoPress and the Space Upgrade. You also have plenty of unused space in your Media Library. Therefore, uploading video shouldn’t be an issue. Let’s get to the bottom of the problem.

What is the precise error message you receive?
Are you sometimes able to upload video?
Are you sometimes able to upload video that initially received the HTTP upload error?
Was any of the video currently in your Media Library problematic when you first tried to upload it?
Have you tried your upload on another internet connect/wifi?

Is there any other specific information you could supply that will help me troubleshoot your problem?

Looking forward to hearing from you. Thanks very much.

Hey thanks for the quick response!
Changed to home computer from work today and had success uploading fairly large video.

So is this some limitation with the ISP at my work? How might I discover such a setting to change (or at least ask to?)

    Hey Don!

Well, that’s good and bad news! I’m happy to hear that we’ve targeted the problem. However, it’s not convenient for you, of course.

I suggest speaking to a network administrator at work. He or she can test bandwidth and connection speed. If you are using wifi, rather than a LAN at work, can you move your laptop to another area of the office, or try another computer? Test to see the strength of your connection at your desk.

Let me know how it goes! Thanks a lot.
