Http Error when uploading images

    Is there a way to fix this “http error” that appears in red when uploading images. I tried googling a solution and found two related to a plug-in on some wp admin file and the other, pasting a code on a .htaccess file – i have no clue of either and I think those only work when you have a hosted website, which I don’t. Please help?

    It would possibly help if you share the screen shot of the error you’re describing.

    I’ve tried pasting the screen shot but with no luck! but basically this is what shows up on the “Add an Image” window

    Add media files from your computer
    HTTP error.
    Allowed file types: jpg, jpeg, png, gif, pdf, doc, ppt, odt, pptx, docx.

    Choose files to upload
    You are using the Flash uploader. Problems? Try the Browser uploader instead.

    You are using the Browser uploader. Try the Flash uploader instead.

    The “http error” pops up, highlighted in red and the image is not uploaded.

    I’m also really struggling. Something has changed! I can’t see the majority of my images on my wordpress blog, all coming up as broken links – and I’m trying to upload a header image and just get a blank box with broken link symbol. Loading the uploader page also brings up a page load up error. It was fine until this wekend on my other blogs. Any advice? http://essoldostretford.wordpress.com as an example. Thanks,

    Are you a Sky.com customer in UK?
    (at least the latter seems to be the case from your site)
