Hi there!
Sometimes due to browser issue, one face such kind of problems. I recommend you please clear the browser cache by following steps given in the link https://en.support.wordpress.com/browser-issues/#clearing-your-browser-cache
Also try using other browser.
Please let me know if this help!
Thanks!

Hi,
I had already cleared the cache, and the problem persisted. I used Chrome, switched to Firefox, and later to Explorer, but the problem persisted in all of them. As it is, I cannot publish my post for today! That’s annoying. -
I am tagging this thread with modlook for the attention of the support team.
Please be patient while someone from the support staff gets back to you on this. Thanks!

@jubrina sorry to hear this. Is there anything more to the error? Typically when I’ve seen it, it’s been an internet connection issue that resolves itself.
Sometimes (if you’re desperate to get a post published) a smaller photo would work, or if the same image exists on the web somewhere, you can try uploading via URL.

The connection is working fine. I really don’t know. Unfortunately, the image is already small.
This is not the first time I have this problem, but it is taking longer today. I’ve done everything you suggested, and still cannot upload a photo.
I’ve noticed more people have had this problem before, too. I hope WordPress manages to solve it.

Hello,
Unfortunately, it’s been almost a week and I still cannot upload any images to my post! I keep getting the following error message: ERR_SPDY_PROTOCOL_ERROR”
I already cleared the browser cache many times, but it didn’t work. I tried using Mozilla, too, but it didn’t work. The connection is otherwise working fine on my mobile phone and on my Ipad. I tried the solutions listed here: https://support.zenmate.com/hc/en-us/articles/204423722-Chrome-error-ERR-SPDY-PROTOCOL-ERROR-But it didn’t work.
-
Ah, you hadn’t mentioned that error. Having more specific information is helpful.
Did you get the exact same error in Firefox?
Are you using security tools that could be blocking this for all browsers?
-
Hi,
The same problem happened in Firefox, and I am ot using security tools. As a test, I tried uploading photos on Blogspot (another platform) on the same day I wasn’t able to do it on WordPress – and in Blogspot it worked, but in WordPress it didn’t on that same day.Meanwhile, I could upload photos on Monday, and I published the delayed posts. I’ll report if the problem keeps happening – it has happened many times before. It may have something to do with WordPress itself, since Blogspot or other things (Youtube, Facebook, Twitter…) are not affected.

I see similar issue impacting WordPress user here
https://productforums.google.com/forum/#!topic/chrome/Jpb3JMzJygU
in this case it was due to web host enabling Google Page Speed Cache for your site, I doubt this is the case for any WordPress.COM hosted site or it would be affecting all users!
You say you tried all the fixes listed in your Zenmate link above, including update browser and check antivirus configs, clear caches/sockets and still have the issue? You say from your iPad there is no issue, are you able to try from any other computer so we can confirm whether this is issue specific to a computer or not?
-
Next time this issue happens you can also see if you can get more error log info by hitting the F12 key in Chrome just before you try to upload, then attempt upload and watch the bottom right hand pane for error messages in red, these (if any) might shed more light on the specific problems causing this issue.

Hi, I am having it in Firefix, too. And, recentely, it got worse: it happens not only when uploading images, but also when updating posts and pages.
