HTTP URLs beyond my domain name are not being forced to HTTPS by my 301 redirects
-
I am fairly new to implementing SSL on a website on my own. But so far its been fairly simple to do with the combination of help from my host provider and tons of resources on how to configure WordPress to force HTTPS.
Right now I have ssl implemented, it works and I have all the configs in place to force https when anyone types the domain name of my website.
i.e. if I type cfcverified.com in to my browser my redirects force https://cfcverified.com and life is good. I’ve changed WordPress configs to https and used Better Search and Replace plugin to replace http:// with https:// in all my links.
However, i’m still stuck with one thing that I can’t figure out. When I type or link a url that goes beyond my domain name I do not get the https version.
i.e. cfcverified.com/cfc0007
When i type the above into a browser for some reason my redirect statements do not render the https version and takes the browser to the http version.
What am I missing?

Hey @phankins11,
Your site cfcverified.com is using the self-hosted version of WordPress (1&1), and you need to seek help at the WordPress.org forums:
https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
These forums are for WordPress.com hosted sites only :)
However, to migrate your traffic from HTTP to HTTPS, you need to mention redirect rules in .htaccess file.
Simply copy paste this code in your .htaccess file.RewriteEngineOn RewriteCond%{HTTPS}off RewriteRule ^(.*)$ https://%{HTTP_HOST}%{REQUEST_URI} [L,R=301]Thanks !!!

Thanks for the help and the direction. I have implemented the redirect rules in my .htaccess ruiles per this article.

Ill go check out the forums at https://wordpress.org/support/forums/
Thanks!
