  I have no idea why and haven’t been able to fix for sometime, the miss linking between http://www.milliness.com and milliness.com (without the www.) if I use www my website appears, if I just type milliness.com it says my website is parked curtesy of WordPress. I’d really like them both to direct to my actual website. Can you assist me with this?

  Could you confirm that you want both milliness.com and http://www.milliness.com to map to your self-hosted WordPress.org site?

  If so, who is the host for your new site? We will need their name servers in order to map your domain to them.

  You may also wish to upgrade to a site redirect, instead of mapping, if you prefer. Here are the instructions to set that up:
  en.support.wordpress.com/site-redirect/

  Finally, if you prefer, you can always transfer your custom domain from WordPress.com to your new website host. That way, you can reduce confusion by managing your website all in one place.

  Hey!

  I did miscommunicate I believe. I would like milliness.com and http://www.milliness.com both linked to my http://www.milliness.bigcartel.com.

  If this could be done as soon as possible I would be grateful as I was at a huge marketing event yesterday and today have found my blog is popping up instead of my official website, which is with big carel.

  I was in a panic so I let my boyfriend take a stab at redirecting the site. He was able to get http://www.milliness.com to redirect to www. Milliness.bigcartel.com (my official website) but wasn’t yet able to get plain milliness.com (no www.) to connect to the big cartel. Non www still goes to the blog. If there was still a way to link the two that would be fantastic.

  Hi there!

  I’m happy to help you with this. I looked up Big Cartel’s directions for setting up a custom domain:

  http://help.bigcartel.com/basics/domains/other-domain-setup/#settings-for-using-www

  However, we don’t offer domain forwarding. Can you please contact support at Big Cartel and ask them for name servers or an A record that we can point your domain to? Once we have that information, I can set this up for you.

  Bigcartel doesn’t support the use of name servers so I guess the only option is to transfer the domain.

  I will try to do so and contact you if there’s any more confusion.
