Https "connection not private" warning showing on blog with custom domain

I’m not sure why my blog appears to be connecting through https and not accessible on http even when I am signed out of WordPress. It shows a warning that the connection to the site is not private, and I am concerned this will lead to visitors leaving the site.
I’ve tried on a few browsers and it is the same every time. Are there settings I can adjust to make the site go back to http, as I didn’t think that custom domains were forced over to https, or is there another fix for this issue?

The security certificate showing on my WordPress.com blog at http://www.soul-destruction.com is for another WordPress.com blog: soufrazeta.com.
I am very concerned about this and how it could have happened that their security certificate, which is not visible when I visited their site, is instead showing on my site.
I am hoping WordPress can resolve this issue urgently.

https://soul-destruction.com/ – loaded correctly with no errors for me – someone has flagged this for staff attention
You seem to have a custom domain that is domain mapped – in the past WordPress.COM has not supported https security for custom domains – only for plain domains (i.e. your-site.wordpress.com) –
This has been a sore point for those of us with custom domains as some search engines have started to downgrade sites that do not connect with https – so maybe the staff is playing and starting to support https for custom domains
The site linked to my name is a custom domain name and when I tried https there was an error – so might be the staff is rolling out changes – but they never tell us ahead of time

staff-ozmodiar – with the OP using a custom domain that is domain mapped and using an https secure conection – and my site which is also domain mapped will not work with https – –

staff-ozmodiar I am still seeing an issue with one browser, but I’ve been in correspondence with support over email for the last few days so hopefully it will be resolved.
