https in address
-
I’ve noticed the https has begun to appear in some of the addresses of various WP-hosted blogs. It began to appear in my address today. Before this, only my administrator pages had begun with https. Is this a new change?
I use IE 11 on Windows 7 SP 1 platform.
Thanks for your help.

OH GOD CAN IT BE AT LAST!!!
If it’s true, this is the best wp.com news I’ve heard in years.

We are in the process of testing out switching a group of WordPress.com URLs to HTTPS. Let us know if you run into any issues!

Initially, I ran into a security certificate page then a “no such page exists” error on a couple of occasions. Since then, it is displaying without problem.

I figured that – I know that getting https to work with mapped domains is more difficult since the certificate you have is for WordPress.COM and the browsers check the certificate against the domain name – so the programming at the systems level would be significant – either some sort of certificate for the mapped domains, which would probably be an extra expense for the mapped domains, even given your buy in bulk
