HTTPS – not working

I have set up HTTPS for when I am in my administrative dashboard. The security is working well when I am there. HOWEVER, whenever I “sign-out” and then go look at my blog like a normal user, the URL uses “HTTP” but does not use HTTPS ?!? In fact, when I used Firefox for my browser, I get a message saying, “Security Warning: You have requested an encrypted page that contains some unencrypted information. Information that you see or enter on this page could easily be read by a third party.” What is the unencrypted information it is referring to and how do I make it encrypted? Or to put it differently, how do I fix this so that the URL uses “HTTPS” and these kinds of security warnings do not appear for anyone coming to my blog?

Sort of. I think the directions on that page refer more to when you are acting as an “Administrator” working on the site behind the scenes. However, when somebody who is not the administrator just wants to go view your site, I didn’t see anything that addressed that. At least, that’s all I could gather. Perhaps I am missing something that is right under my nose though. Thanks for sharing that link!

To add to what timethief said, in my humble opinion, your visitors would only HTTPS if they were to submit confidential data to you (such as a password or bank account/credit card information), which they couldn’t do on WordPress.COM anyway.
