  I have a wordpress site through my hosting company nohasslewebsite. I need to change the name of my present website can I purchase the domain name through wordpress? What fancy tech stuff or do I just notify my hosting provider? I know the hosting service provider will need to know because it was such a headache to change the name before. The domain name was not purchased through wordpress befor.

  For changing the name of the website, you have to buy a new domain name and then will have to transfer the complete website to the new domain name. Lastly, don’t forget to perform 301 redirect.
