  hi, i’m trying to delete this website, we haven’t used it since 2012… but i cant seem to delete it in the wp admin? i’d also like to delete my wp.com account, any ideas? thanks

  Hello @adelamei,

  WordPress.com provides site owners with the ability to delete their own websites; that process is described here. The most important thing to realize is that site deletion permanently deletes that URL, and it can never be used again. The page I linked provides some less destructive alternatives for you to consider, as well.

  It is not possible to delete a WordPress.com account. If you just want to dissociate all personal information with your account, here is a guide for doing that.

  You can delete your site permanently through this instruction: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/.

  On the other hand, you can’t delete your account itself as it was mentioned by one of the staffs here: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/deletion-of-account-13?replies=2.

  However, there are many things you can do for removing your personal information from your account. Please refer to the link above and perform it.
