  I am wondering why the width of the first image is in line with the text, but the remainder of the images are not.
  How do I manage image size – the plus/minus sign options are not granular enough.

  Hi coffscoastheritage,

  I am wondering why the width of the first image is in line with the text, but the remainder of the images are not.

  The first image is only 669px × 331px so it isn’t large enough to fill the width of your post. There is a larger version called fisrtadvocateissue1907.jpg, which is 1257px × 648px. If you replace the current image with this one it should fill with the width of the post.

  There isn’t an option to specify a pixel size when editing an image on WordPress.com. If you are looking for more control over editing your images, you may want to have a look our recommendations for free image editing software:
