  Hi there

  I have soma major problem as I need to embed videos from eduCanon into my site. It is not on your allow list for video embedding so I thought I would send you a line to see if that would be a possibility? http://www.educanon.com/ is a great tool for teachers and I really would like to use it on my site.

  and there are plenty more out there giving similar tone.

  Hi Rósa,

  I’m assuming the Educanon videos require using an embed code that is not allowed as indicated by the list here:

  Add Code to Your Site

  Is that correct? Unfortunately, it isn’t likely that we are going to change that list in the near future as the codes are not allowed for security reasons. However, you could either embed the video as a YouTube video or upload it directly to your site using VideoPress:

  http://en.support.wordpress.com/videos/youtube/

  VideoPress

  Would either of those two options work?

  Unfortunately that won’t work in this case as this creates instructional videos that allows the students to interact during the videos (are they paying attention, please answer some questions).

  Here is a sample of what I am talking about

  I will probably just have to attach a link to a picture but the best option would have been to embed the video on the page so the visitors wouldn’t need to leave the page.

  Unfortunately, it looks like the video you sent over is private so I was unable to view it. I’m sorry none of those options will work! You may be interested in moving to a self-hosted WordPress.org site. Self-hosted sites do not have any restrictions on video embeds:

  WordPress.com vs. WordPress.org
