Huge gaps between images

I am sure this is not a new problem, but it is my first experience of it and can find no discussion related to it. In “Edit” mode the gaps between pictures and text seems fine. After publishing there are huge gaps between the images and the text (scroll down and you’ll see what I mean). I suspect this is an HTML solution? Once a picture is imported my cursor is at the top of the pic and I have to hard-enter several times for it to go to the bottom, is this the problem? What is a better solution to getting the cursor at the right place?

I don’t know what’s creating them, but switch to the HTML Editor and delete the following between the photos:
<p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p> </p>Then update/resave your post.
