Huge increase in spam posts

    Over the last month I’ve noticed that the Akismet isn’t working at all. It used to block everything and if you look at my Akismet stats it’s missing over 80 pieces of spam. And this is spam that is also in the spam folder so it’s caught it before. I’ve made no changes to my spam settings and from what I’ve read from other WordPress.com bloggers this is a problem that’s increased over the last month. I pay well for my blog and while I know you have additional spam protection for a fee, the Akismet was all I needed until now. Please find a way to fix this problem.

    Hi Kristen,

    Thanks for reporting the issue. Could you link me to a comment or a handful of comments that recently snuck past the Akismet filter? You can get a comment link by finding the comment here, hovering over the comment, and clicking “History”.

    Also, can you confirm that you’re marking these comments as spam rather than just deleting them from your inbox? The former helps to train Akismet to recognize them as spam in the future.
