  Hello I’m a newbie to wordpress….
  I have an intriguing question….
  My host has an auto-installer for WordPress and has installed it to http://www.mysite.com/wordpress
  How can i change it to http://www.mysite.com…

  Also i would like to know if there are any downloadable wordpress manuals in .pdf format..

  I think you should go to wordpress.org instead and it´s a lot of manuals to read if you go to there

  You actually need to be talking to your host about this issue but, if they can’t resolve the issue for you, please head over to http://wordpress.org as that’s the site you need to be at. wp.com is a hosted version of the WordPress software and our answers wouldn’t apply to the version you’re running.

  When you do head over to the other site, do mention the auto-installer that you are using. They won’t be able to help you unless they know which backend your host is running. A topic that actually describes the issue that you are having would help as well. (like “Wrong directory installed with autoinstaller”)

  Not sure about the *.pdfs. I don’t think so though. Someone did just publish a WordPress book recently. I don’t know of they made a *.pdf form of it.
