Humbled, But Stats & Widgets A-OK
-
I’m almost embarrassed to admit this, but maybe it will help someone else.
I spent about 6 brutal hours trying to understand and fix (1)a stats graph that was truncated and left off info for the past three days; and (2) the notorious “my right-hand sidebar has gone to the bottom”. I read every related FAQ and every Forum thread, tore out all kinds of widget code, images and text, then revised, replaced, ad nauseam, until I collapsed.
Then I stumbled upon what appears to be the truth. When I happened to increase the size of my computer screen text by one step (on my Mac PowerBook, it’s the simple Apple Key/+ to increase; Apple Key/- to decrease), everything went back into place. Slightly smaller screen text, sidebar and stats graph were haywire. Slightly larger (and easier to read), everything was fine.
Just a reminder that it’s not always as complex as it seems – especially in the wee hours of the morning. Many thanks to thesacredpath for his Forum assistance, and also to Anthony in Support, who responded promptly though, alas, I had already had my AHA! moment and was sufficiently humbled.
Or, maybe it was just elves and fairies…

Thank you for posting this, as this can be a more common problem than you think.
Using Firefox, View -> Zoom -> Reset is also something to try in this type of scenario.

Thanks. The reset seems to have done the trick. Though the graph is still somewhat shoved over to the right, it’s not something I can’t live with.
Thank you again to both of you.
