  So I bought this domain (www.hyack.net) just yesterday from domain.com I believe it was, $12.99 USD I believe it was (so something over C$17), good until a year from yesterday. If I transfer it to you for hosting, you are not going to charge me for this year are you?

  I want to create blog, happy to use you guys, but don’t want to end up paying extra fees.

  I would like to use one of your templates, not sure exactly how it all works yet.

  Hi Bruce, when you transfer a domain in, it adds one year to its registration. There’s not much of a way around that, but we do give you the first year free with a paid plan.

  I did notice though that you said you registered it yesterday. Typically you won’t be able to transfer a domain until it’s at least 60 days old. So in this case, you’ll likely want to map the domain, first, and then transfer some time later if you want to.
