Hyper-linking broken in Opera browser?

  • Unknown's avatar

My browser of choice is Opera, and now it seems like when I attempt to insert a hyper-link, the pop-up for that breaks. I will at best be able to copy-paste the link in there, but then the box ceases to be interact-able.

I can’t add anything else, I can’t click any of the buttons, not the Cancel, not the Add Link, and not the X. If I click outside the box, it goes away, but that’s it.

It still seems to work fine in Chrome, but I don’t much like using Chrome, so it would be nice if you could please make it work as it should again.

Are you using Paste from Word? There are numerous (unsurprising) problems associated with that. Are you just using Opera and writing directly in the Write Post box?

No, I’m just copying a link from the HTML field, and pasting that into the pop-up box that shows up when I press Insert/Edit Link.

Sorry for the slow responses. Been distracted lately.

My version of Opera is up to date and seems to identify itself as such:

    Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64) Presto/2.12.388 Version/12.16

I have tried to do more hyperlink stuff, but it still seems to not work, even though it worked just fine on the 28th of March, yet was broken on the 29th.

I’ve currently switched to Chrome for writing new posts, but I don’t really like Chrome as much.

Same thing happens with mine. Opera 12.16 for Mac OS X 10.5.8 it is the latest version my Mac will accept.
I edit my blog post in Opera then move to Stainless or Safari to insert the links. Thought it might be something with my Mac until I found this discussion. Please advise, my browser too of choice is Opera.
