Hyperlink color
-
When started this site a few months ago, hyperlink colors could be selected. Now it only has option to select colors for text and background.
Is there any way to make hyper link colors match the color I initially used on this WordPress site.WP.com: Yes

Hey there, you seem to have switched to a theme that doesn’t have built-in Customizer support for link colors. You were using Hever previously if you want to switch back.

I share frustration with WordPress destroying functions that used to work. Now I find I can only control the colour of selected text (be it hyperlink or plain text) by going back into classic editor via the sidebar and “Pages / all pages / hover over the page required / classic editor / select the text and chooze colour from the limited palette presented. It wasn’t broke until they fixed it. There must be a better way and I hope someone will soon describe it.

You can set both text and background color for text you select in the editor via the Highlight option in the block toolbar for the current block you’re editing:
https://wordpress.com/support/wordpress-editor/blocks/paragraph-block/#highlight
It works for both hyperlinked and regular text.
If it’s not working for you, please open a new request at https://wordpress.com/help/contact and include a link to your site, and the specific post/page you’re working on, and we can take a look what’s going on.
The OP’s question above is about setting a link colour for the site globally, so is not the same thing that you’re trying to change. Whether or not it’s possible to set a global link colour for the site depends on the theme you’re using.
