hyperlink in a widget?

  I would like to have a widget that people can click on that takes them to another website. Is this possible? I looked at all the widgets and can’t figure it out.

  “Text” –can’t find a hyperlink
  “Links” –seems like it’s only for my blogroll

  OK I take back my take back. Been trying for a while and can’t find it. I did find one search that has a man saying the same thing but then he came back on and said he found it but never said what he found… oy vey

  A “links” search tells me how to add a link but not how to put it on a widget.
  A “links widget” only works for a blogroll.

  I’d like you to be able to click on a widget (link) and get to another website and I prefer it to be in the widget itself because I don’t want to have a list of links; just one.

  If you go to my site, you’ll see what’s happening -it’s on the lower right side.

  Now, it reads:
  my favorite website
  my favorite website

  I want it to read:
  my favorite website (you click on this and get there).

  One is the title of the widget which you don’t need because it’s the same as your link text.
  Here is how to write the link:
  <a href="http://www.pcrm.org/" target="_blank">My Favorite Website</a>

  (you need the http:// part)

  Ah, that’s the ticket. I thought I had to title it so I left the bottom part blank. And I was on Panos’s site but confused because it reads, “URL_HERE” and “TEXT_HERE.” I didn’t understand how to write the _ in between ‘URL/TEXT’ and “HERE.”

  Thanks Panos & Gracie… by the way, Gracie, Harp has blown up your picture to an 8 x 10 and hung it on the wall. If you turn him down, I’m afraid he may start throwing darts at it soon. He is a very jealous cat. Already, he single-handedly pulls down all the magnets off the fridge just because they are holding pictures of pets that aren’t him.
