Hyperlink in body of post redirected

  Hi,

  I’m having a problem with inserting a link into the body of my “ABOUT” page. This is what I do:

  1: Type Fresh Lifestyle Properties
  2: Highlight Fresh Lifestyle Properties
  3: Click on insert/edit link
  4: Type in the URL http://www.freshprop.co.za
  5: Save and update.

  what happens is that when you go into the post and you want to click on the link it does not send you to http://www.freshprop.co.za it send you to http://elproperty.wordpress.com/about/www.freshprop.co.za
  and this does not exist.

  When the reader clicks on the link how can i get it to open in a new tab automatically and how can i get it to open the right page?

  Hi niclabuschagne,

  For the incorrect url, I would suggest that you open a new tab and go to freshpop.co.za. After that copy the address from the address bar and paste it directly in the URL field in the insert/edit link pop up.

  In the insert/edit link pop up, check the box below Title saying open link in a new window/tab. When the reader clicks the link, it should open in another tab.
