Hyperlink not working

    I have tried for several days to add hyperlinks to my content and none of it work – some of it is affiliate (I have a WordPress business account) and other links are not. Why does this no longer work?

    WP.com: Yes
    Jetpack: No
    Correct account: Yes

    The blog I need help with is: (visible only to moderators and staff)

    Are you able to point me in the direction of what links you’re trying to add, and also which post you’re working on please? We’ll try and replicate what you’re seeing and look to see to if there’s something awry.

    Additionally – are you seeing any error messages or anything unusual when adding the link?

    I’m confident we can track down the cause and get that fixed up for you.

    Hi!

    the first one I am trying to link is on my “offerings” page – I want to link “Empowered Lives- Tweens and Teens” to Home Power Yoga Kids similar to the link above – this is the page.

    I don’t receive any message – I click hyperlink, paste the link in the square box and then a circle appears al the way to the right and it looks like it’s a timer and then eventually everything disappears and it’s not hyperlinked.

    I’m also working on a draft post that links to an amazon affiliate marketing link.

    This doesn’t sound like standard behaviour.

    Do you have any browser extensions running out of curiosity? It sounds like something is being added where it shouldn’t be.

    No- well I should say not that I know of – I tried to troubleshoot it myself and deleted my search history and cleared the cache and it didn’t work. The only difference is I switched my account to a business account and then started experiencing this problem – I am regretting switching my account to business. It’s taking quite some time to receive some help on this issue to trouble shoot it.

    Out of curiosity, did you add the previous links on that page prior to upgrading? Or did you add those (while under the Business Plan) without issue, but it’s this one remaining link you are not able to add for some reason.

    Can you share in your reply here the URL you are trying to add, so we can also try and see if we get the same result? Also I see you are using Safari as your browser, out of curiosity if you try a different browser (like Chrome or Firefox) are you able to add links without issue? It may help to know if this issue is specific to Safari, or an issue facing all browsers.
