Hyperlink Simulates "Follow" Button?

  How do I craft a hyperlink that’s behaviorally identical to clicking the Follow button that appears in the lower right corner of the blog?

  Ideally, within a rather long paragraph of text, I’d like the hyperlinked word “follow” to execute the standard WordPress Follow behavior (i.e. asking for email address, etc).

  You may find it easier to create your links in the Visual editor in a draft post first and then copy and paste the code from the Text (HTML) editor into a text widget.

  This is the general link model:
  <a href="URL HERE">Highlighted anchor text here</a>
  This is the visual result but as it’s just an example it’s not actually linked to a page:
  Highlighted anchor text here
  Enter the anchor text you want to link to first.
  Then use your mouse to highlight that anchor text.
  Next click the chain icon in the Visual editor and proceed to create the link in the pop-up box.

  Why do this at all when you can enable the follow blog widget so readers get you posts by email?
