Hyperlinked image doesn't work the same on WP app reader as in browser and email
-
Hi, so in each of my blog posts, I manually create and add image thumbnails for related posts and insert those thumbnails with a hyperlink at the bottom.
Now when I check my stats, there are always more registered views to the thumbnails’ image files than registered views to the blog post they’re supposed to link to.
After experimenting on my own, I found out that
1. (As expected) Opening the blog post on a browser, whether via desktop or mobile, the thumbnails DO link to the blog post.
2. If I subscribe via email, and click the thumbnails from the email (whether via desktop or mobile email app, both using Yahoo and Gmail), the thumbnails DO link to the blog post.
3. BUT when I view the blog post on the WP mobile app’s Reader, clicking on the thumbnail leads me to the image file of the said thumbnail, not the blog post they are hyperlinked to.
4. I can “fix” the #3 issue by clicking the browser button (globe icon) on the upper right, which opens the post on the internal browser of the WP app, and THEN clicking the thumbnail works as it should.
Is there a code I can insert when I hyperlink the thumbnails to address this? Thanks!
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi @irisoniris, the phone reader is designed to let people make images larger and easier to see by taping on them.
The reader app also adds links to other articles on your site, without you having to insert thumbnails at all.
If you’d like to include a list of curated links in addition to the articles we automatically show, can I recommend adding them without thumbnails, or adding the link to the text rather than to the image?

Thanks for the suggestion! That makes sense. I was just previously peeved that I was “losing” potential views, but I think I will just go the route you suggested.
Thanks for taking the time!
