Hyperlinked word not changing colour

  • Unknown's avatar

    Dear WP,

    I have adventure theme. The hyperlinked word under normal text changes colour but when for a certain section when I change it to heading 6, the hyperlink works for sure but it doesn’t change its colour. This makes it difficult for the reader to know whether there is a hyperlink there.

    Please resolve this or let me know how to get that light blue colour back when I hyperlink a word.

  • Hi there. If I had to guess I’d say the styling for the heading-tag overrides the styling for the link tag. If that’s the case it’s most likely intentional, as it’s not really a common practice to include links inside heading tags.

    As Adventure is a premium theme, please post in the premium themes forum to find out whether you can change this and how. I’m afraid we can’t help you with that in the regular forum. http://premium-themes.forums.wordpress.com/forum/adventure

    Hi Nandu! :)

    May I know what parts exactly of your site do you want that light blue colour back on?

    Or you could also just try adding this CSS code into your child theme’s style.css (if you have one), or into your Custom CSS section.

    h6 a:link {
    color: #0099cc;
    }

    Let me know if that works for you.

    Cheers,
    Aicee

    We have no ability to create child themes on WordPress.com, we have no direct access to the CSS files so it’s impossible to edit the style.css or any other file, and customising CSS requires an upgrade.

    The advice you gave above about editing style.css applies to self-hosted WordPress.org sites, not WordPress.com.
