Hyperlinks – force all to open in new tab

  Hi,

  I’d like to force all hyperlinks to open in new tabs – we have several authors and they aren’t consistent about doing this manually. I checked our settings (under Settings/Shared) and our links are set to open in a new window, but this doesn’t appear to be working.

  Is there anything I can do to make all hyperlinks open in a new tab?

  There is no universal setting on the blog. There is an option for this provided every time one creates a link. Please consult the guide for creating links in posts and pages: http://en.support.wordpress.com/links/

  Thank you – I understand how to do that. Unfortunately, our authors (there are 10 of us) don’t always remember to follow those instructions and set their links to open in a new window, so I was looking for a way to automate it.

  I was also hoping someone could weigh in on why my Shared settings don’t seem to be working for that particular function. Maybe I just don’t understand that setting?
