Hyperlinks (in post) to external content are invisible online

In the *dashboard* version, one post — like the others — has a variety of hyperlinks meant to help blog visitors find related content. But visitors to the blog *online* — can’t see the links in THIS post. They just are not displayed. I have forced refreshed the browser, no change.
Other posts on my blog do display hyperlinks, no problem.
Frustrating not to be able to find the reason for the missing links!

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

And which blog post are you talking about? There’s an extra charge for making us guess.

    Hi,

Are you referring to this page?
    http://gallicfever.com/2014/09/25/your-musical-invitation-to-travel-in-france/

If you are, the links are there, they are just colored the same as the rest of the text.

    In this passage:

These words are a recurring theme in Charles Baudelaire’s “L’invitation au voyage,” set to music by Henri Duparc.

If you place your mouse cursor over the words “Charles Baudelaire’s” for example, you should see that it becomes underlined and there’s a link to the wikipedia page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Baudelaire

To remove the assigned color from the links, use “Clear Formatting”.

In the Visual tab of your editor, it’s in the 2nd row, 6th icon and should say “Clear Formatting” when you hover your mouse over it.
Go to http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/ to see what the editing icon looks like.)

    Here’s how to use it:

    Hope that helps!

My abject apologies, Raincoster. I won’t repeat that mistake! Still a newbie on the forum.
Meanwhile, Honey, I did find the “clear format.” After a pause, I also “got” that each link needs to be individually addressed. And once again, thanks for your magic.
I must say, it’s still a mystery to me how the links got invisible formatting in the first place. (Nothing to do with the new or old editor, right?) Since I don’t know, I guess the mishap c o u l d happen again…

    Hi, Elle!

It’s nothing to do with the new or old editor and the links did not have invisible formatting. Each of the links was styled to the color black and since the surrounding text is also black, you couldn’t tell the text from the link.

Pressing “clear format” removed the black color from the links and changed it back to its default color which is blue for your blog.

It has something to do with how the text was copy and pasted. I think the links were changed to the color black where it was copied from. Was this text copied from a web page or from something like Microsoft Word? Let me know and I can show you how to avoid it in the future.

    Copied from Word, for sure.
We’re all “ears” to hear your great advice about making sure links are visible from the get-go!

The person who wrote the post in Microsoft Word probably changed the “Font Color” of the whole text to black, changing the colors of all the links in the process. Just have them avoid doing that.

When copying from Word, the links should be the default blue.
