Hey there,
Sorry to see this has happened. It looks like this site is using self-hosted WordPress, and this can happen when a domain is changed on the installation.
It’s actually not possible for this to happen on WordPress.com.
To explain, there’s two types of WordPress. WordPress.com and self-hosted WordPress.
WordPress.com is where we provide daily backups, a 24/7 support service and WordPress is optimised to run optimally, and self-hosted WordPress, where the free open source version of the software is obtained form WordPress.org and used on a server, and you’re left to do things on your own. There’s more on the differences here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/
Because the site is currently self-hosted, we can’t access the site to help fix this and you would need to get the hosting provider to correct that.
You could migrate the site over from your current host (themes, content and plugins as-is) using Business plan, and you could change the domain without a hindrance. This guide explains how to do this here: https://wordpress.com/support/import/import-an-entire-wordpress-site/#import-from-self-hosted-word-press and this is how you could connect the domain: https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/
Also, we apply an SSL certificate free of charge, which is best practice.
I hope this information proves useful.
