I accidentally created 2 additional blogs, how do I delete one, keep the other?

In attempting to add a second blog to my account I ended up creating two blogs, both with the same title but with different URLs: 1) http://fjwhite.wordpress.com/ and 2) http://disableddatingdigest.wordpress.com/
However, when I click on My Blogs I see two listed: my original blog created 4 years ago — citizenactionmonitor.wordpress.com and the new blog I was trying to create. To complicate matters, I changed the title of the new blog from DISABILITY DATING & MORE to DISABLED DATING DIGEST. But when I click on My Blogs, I still see listed DISABILITY DATING & MORE, fjwhite.wordpress.com. The title that I want to keep DISABLED DATING DIGEST does not appear here in the My Blog list but it does appear when I go to the Dashboard. Moreover, three titles appear when I click on “Sign Out” — Citizen Action Monitor, DISABLED DATING DIGEST and DISABLED DATING DIGEST again.
My question is this — How do I clean up this mess that I’ve created? Specifically, how do I delete the blog DISABLED DATING DIGEST (formerly DISABILITY DATING & MORE) with the http://fjwhite.wordpress.com/ URL and keep the blog DISABLED DATING DIGEST with the http://disableddatingdigest.wordpress.com/ ?
The former has one post that I don’t mind losing. The latter has no posts.“Delete Site” looks like it might be the way to go. But I hesitate because there is no clear definition of “site”. What am I deleting? Is “site” the same as “blog”? How is site related to “blog”, “domain” and “account”.? Is deleting the “site” going to create other problems for me?
So how do I delete the http://fjwhite.wordpress.com/ blog without screwing up my account, domain or anything else that might be at risk?
Sometimes WordPress drives me crazy. I believe I got into this mess because of its poor instructions related to creating a new blog. I followed the “Start Here” guidelines, went through all the dashboard menus but got into trouble right at the end when I tried to use the new blog and was instructed to register it, and give it a domain name and pay an annual fee of $18. At that point I got utterly confused and backed out without completing the process

I did just about the same thing. I created a new blog last week, and noticed after a day or two there were no stats, they told me to re-register, that the original URL was not registered, even though I now have 5 followers. When I did so it created another blog! I went to delete it but stopped because I think my original blog will be deleted also. I’m posting this in sympathy because I haven’t gotten an answer yet. If I do I will post it here.
