I Accidentally Deleted my Blog, Cannot Use Same URL?
-
I was trying to rename my blog, but I accidentally created a new blog with the url name that I wanted.
I then deleted this new blog so that I could just rename my existing blog like I wanted to, but now it says that that name for the url is taken?
Can somebody please advise on what to do? Many thanks in advance
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

I do not know why this thread is tagged with modlook. There is no such thing as freeing up a blog address for registration again.
You cannot have it restored.
Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made except for the one stated at http://en.support.wordpress.com/recycling-blog-names/.
You can register another .wordpress.com URL and then purchase an upgrade plan so you can map to an existing domain.
Register another .wordpress.com blog http://en.support.wordpress.com/register-a-blog/
Purchase a domain mapping upgrade knowing it does not matter what the underlying .wordpress.com address is when you are domain mapping.

Hi @aclassicreader, sorry we can’t do this. Hopefully the messaging about not being able to reuse a deleted URL was clear, but if not and you have some suggestions on that, please let us know.
Your best bet at this point is to choose another name and rename to that, or get a custom domain. If you want that (it does come with no-ads and direct support with staff) you can buy any plan here: https://wordpress.com/plans
then add your new domain. Best wishes!
