I accidentally mapped a domain I did not own

I just now figured out the root of all my problems. What happened was I ordered a premium package for WordPress so I could finally get my own domain and more customization options.
When I typed in “kenpire.com” in the add domain name list, it said it was already in use, so like an idiot I thought it meant that it counted the “kenpire.wordpress.com” as an existing “kenpire.com” domain name (like I said, idiot). So I decided to “map an existing domain” which I did. Problem is, “kenpire.com” is an existing domain I don’t actually own, which I didn’t realize until I did a “WhoIs” search for it.
I’ve made a huge mistake, and I really don’t know where to go from here. I’ve thought of canceling my premium package, but naturally it can’t erase the “purchase” of the domain I don’t actually own.
I could fall back, undo the premium, and just lose 13$ out of all this, but I’m not 100% if that’s my only option. I realize I’m running out of time here, but I just wanted to know everything before moving forward, because not doing that got me into this mess in the first place.

Is there anyway I can somehow undo the mapping and get the opportunity to just create a domain instead? Is there anyone on the staff listening? A “no that would not be possible” is preferable to the silence I’m receiving.
