I accidentally mapped a domain name
-
I mapped a domain name but didn’t understand what that meant. I thought it would pull my godaddy account into a wordpress account so I could create a second blog site of 2 separate accounts. Instead, I think I created two separate names for a single, same account, which I don’t want to do. For example, I do not want http://www.awriterforlife.com to redirect traffic to http://www.jaimiengle.com. I need to have 2 unique, separate accounts, but the directions on wordpress confused me, and I was taken through the process by a godaddy rep over the phone (who did help me change my hosting site to wordpress). I only have 48 hours for a refund so I really need to hear back asap.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Howdy! No worries, we can get this fixed.
However, in order to do so, I need you to cancel the chargeback you have initiated. Without doing so, it becomes much more of a hassle to get things set back right again.
-
You mean I need to contact PayPal and drop the dispute? Is that how I cancel it? Because what I’m looking at is the charge back from WordPress which is not letting me get into my account. I’m confused. Please clarify, and thank you so much for your help!! Yeah!!

Yes please. Let me know when that has been done and I will be able to get things straightened out from our end.

Paypal has been notified. I asked them to please drop the dispute as the seller (you) has resolved all issues. Please let me know when I can start sharing my new website http://www.awriterforlife.com (without the “wordpress” part) with my friends.
Thanks so much for your help!!! Happy Girl!!! -
As of now, Paypal is showing “no active disputes” in my account file. I can share the link with you, but not publicly. I’d have to email it to ya.

This Case is Now Closed
———————————————————————-Dear Jaimie Engle,
This email confirms that your dispute with WordPress.com is now closed.
Disputes are automatically closed if you receive a refund or if it’s been
more than 20 days since the dispute was opened. -
Thank you! Now we can get this all straightened out.
I have set awriterforlife.com to point to the correct site. You may need to clear your browser’s cache in order to see it if you keep getting sent to the other site. You can also try using a private/incognito browser window.
Let me know what you see when you visit awriterforlife.com.

Nope. Now both http://www.awriterforlife.com and http://www.awriterforlife.wordpress.com are both going to http://www.jaimiengle.com. I need to have 2 distinct, unique websites: one should open up as http://www.jaimiengle.com. The other should open up as http://www.awriterforlife.com. It should be as distinct as http://www.bestbuy.com and http://www.mcdonalds.com.
I hope that makes it clearer. Sorry to have been confusing.

Still not working. I just ordered business cards today for the account. Please help me fix this issue…
Thank you! :-) -
Did you clear your browser’s cache and/or use a private/incognito window to test? If your browser is looking at a cached version, you won’t be sent to the correct site. Cached information is going to be incorrect in this case, since we made that change to point to http://awriterforlife.com.
Here is a screenshot of what I am seeing when I visit http://awriterforlife.com:
Note the URL in the address bar is http://awriterforlife.com.

We are so good. Thank you for excellent customer service and hanging with me till the problem was resolved!

Okay… my website is gone again.
Everything was working great. I had two distinct unique websites, one opening up at http://www.jaimiengle.com and the other opening up at http://www.awriterforlife.com. Now they are both mapping to http://www.jaimiengle.com and I can’t even open the http://www.awriterforlife.com. What happened? Is this going to keep being a problem? I really want to share the new website with future clients, but I’m afraid I’ll share http://www.awriterforlife.com and it will lead clients to http://www.jaimiengle.com, which I do NOT want to do.
Thanks for getting this back to normal.
Again, 2 separate websites. NO connection between them except the fact that I own them both. 2 separate purposes, target audiences, posts, and pictures. Nothing about these two domain names should be linked.
Thank you. -
Sorry for the delay. I can’t seem to reproduce your issue. Do you still encounter it? Otherwise please try clearing out your cache and cookies using the guide below:
