I accidentally removed Twitter share button and lost followers.

  I accidentally removed Twitter share button and lost followers. I reinstated it, but I lost the followers (almost 90.) Will they return with reinstatement of button? What do I do?

  Hey Catherine,

  The share button reflects how many shares a post or page has had. It’s not reflective of your follower count. Your Twitter followers are maintained on Twitter. So, the good news is that removing/adding the button will NOT impact the amount of Twitter followers you have. You won’t lose anyone, simple by removing the share button.

  It seems as if you’ve added the Twitter share button back, and I do see share counts appearing. Is everything working well now?
