Hello there!
Could you please paste the URL of those pages for me? This way it would be clearer to see what we need to do in order to make them both visible.
Thanks!

Hello there!
Thanks for posting it, that makes everything very clear to me :)
The second link is your homepage, where all your posts will be displayed as soon as you publish them. If you click on the post appearing on your homepage, it will lead to here: https://careerpivotcelebration2016.wordpress.com/2016/03/03/career-pivot-celebration-2016/. This is the specific URL of the post you wrote.
The first link you posted is a page that you’ve created. This page is somehow “hidden” within your website, as the homepage displays the blog posts stream, not the pages, as per default. (You can change this setting if you want)
So, in order to make your Istanbul page visible to your readers, you need to create a hyperlinked text and place it either on your menu and/or on the sidebar or footer. You can create your own Custom Menu by following this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/.
The sidebars and the footer can be customised with many widgets, and the pages widget is one of them: https://en.support.wordpress.com/widgets/pages-widget/.
Finally I’d like also to link you an interesting article about the differences between post and pages that you may find useful: https://en.support.wordpress.com/post-vs-page/
I hope the above helps you. If you get stuck at any step, don’t hesitate to let me know and I’ll be glad to help!

thanks for the response. But to be honest you have written it such that I might as well be reading it in Greek.
widget / hyperlinked etc. I have my much more experienced brother looking into it.
I guess I am curious as to why when I set up an initial page which posted fine, then went back a few hours later to add another chapter to it and clicked ” add a page”
to me an engineer the most logical way to add to a started blog, it ended up not showing up as the next page automatically ? Wouldn’t you look at it that way? Please keep in mind that folks who want to create blogs are not all computer programing experts, we like to have simple logical things to do use when we get online.
I am honestly not trying to be a jerk, just voicing my frustration as why help desk answers and tips are often not in plain simple English
thanks

Hello Kev,
Many thanks for your feedback. Apologies if I confused you in any way.
As per default, any WordPress.com site has the blog stream feature as primary homepage. Pages, as static elements of a website, can be ‘hidden’ or not evidentially placed for many reasons, that is why once you’ve set it, it didn’t appear straight away.
I do acknowledge that is not a reasoning that every one can agree with or get, however that’s the philosophy behind the websites’ structure. Please let me know if there’s anything of my above comment I can better explain to you, and I’ll be glad to expand the concept for you.
Thanks!
