I already pay annually for a domain name. Why can't I customize fonts?

  I have just been handed ownership of a charity blog.
  We already pay for a domain name per year.
  However, this doesn’t seem to let me customize fonts and colors.
  Are paying for a “domain name” and paying for a “premium plan” two separate things?
  I want a smaller font size, that is all – how can I do this?

  Because you pay annually for a domain name, not for customize fonts.
