I am an Admin, but my Dashboard disappeared
-
I started a WordPress site a couple of weeks ago and have been tweaking it and adding content to it just fine until yesterday, when my Dashboard disappeared and my access to “Users” disappeared. When I click on “People” I am still categorized as an Admin. I can’t imagine what suddenly happened to make it so that I have no access to my site Dashboard. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thank you.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

A new section called “People” was just recently added to the new admin pages, but that wouldn’t have affected your access to your site.
Can you tell me more about the dashboard disappearance part? Are either of the following links the dashboard you were expecting to see?
-
Yes – the second link you sent me is that dashboard that is no longer accessible by me. Up until two days ago, I accessed that area by clicking on “users” but that is gone now. How did you access this?
-
I have been working with WordPress.com for a long time and know the URL pathways by heart. :)
Also, if your account is not super new, you should be able to see a WP Admin link under the My Site menu. If you can’t see it there, then you can just add “/wp-admin” to the end of your home page and you will always be able to access it that way.

I very much appreciate your help.
There is no WP Admin link. In fact, there is no link anymore at all to get to my dashboard. I accessed it until two days ago through the “Users” link and now that is gone. It’s very weird. I wonder what happened.
I have bookmarked that wp/admin url so I can access it. Thank you so much for helping me!

Staff removed the convenient link when they introduced the action bar https://en.blog.wordpress.com/2015/08/26/new-action-bar/
However the admin link for all wordpress.com blogs is:

I believe it’s gated by date and I think it was separate from the action bar.
@timethief, if you go to your blog home page and hover over My Sites, can you see WP Admin in the navigation that appears?
-
Yes, I do see it in the front page My Sites drop down menu, but I never use that area. I go to https://onecoolsite.wordpress.com/wp-admin and use the links I find on the left hand column there. Also as I know what the Admin link is for every one of my blogs, I have no need to visit the My Sites page.
-
Okay, I asked because in your previous reply here you said staff removed the link and I was finding out more about that.
-
I thought they were referring to a link that was removed.
