I am at my wits end – how to change the theme to what I downloaded

  I am so sorry if this is all over the forum – I have looked – but here goes.
  I downloaded a nanoshoplight theme. It rocks – it’s what I want. I bought hosting, installed wordpress – upgraded to premium – and I can’t – for the life of me figure out how to install the nanoshoplight theme on my wordpress site. Every tutorial I read says go to control panel, appearance, themes. then click on “add new”.. THERE IS NO ADD NEW BUTTON!. I even uploaded all the files from nonoshoplight to the wp-content, themes folder on my host. but I can’t figure out how to direct my WP page to use this theme. I am pulling my hair out. I would appreciate all knowledge. every google post says click the “add new” but it is not there. please help.

  There is no “Add New” theme button on a WordPress.com site. You’ve evidently been reading tutorials pertaining to WordPress.org sites. For WordPress.com sites, you must choose from the available themes themes at dashboard > Appearance > Themes, or at Customize. The same themes are also available here: https://theme.wordpress.com.
