I am completely lost now

I have read stuff until I am nearly blind I now have no idea what I have or do not have. I have no idea what I can and cannot do. I want out. I do not have any idea what the difference between .com and .org are — and yes, I have read all the stuff. But being unsavvy I still have no idea what I am doing. I am so upset I am ready to cancel everything I have with WordPress and go completely offline until I can figure out what is going on. Who knows when that will be. I thought I was purchasing a website where I could do whatever I needed to do. I canceled what I had before. So I do not have that to fall back on. I have paid out a bunch of money. It was all supposed to be so easy. I cannot or do not know how to do what I need to do to create my “easy” website. What do you suggest?
